Salli Babbitt

Salli Babbitt
Salli is an international abstract artist and art educator. She teaches independent classes at the Canal Street Gallery and at Art Supply in Houston. She also does critiques and private lessons for many of Houston’s career artists. Her work speaks with the luminosity of color, reflection and a mishmash of crazy thought; inspired by Joseph Mallard Turner and Cy Twombly. She served a decade on the board of directors of Art League Houston, developing and running two outreach classes, and donating and volunteering for TALA, Lawndale Art Center, Art on the Avenue for CDC, Diverse Works, and Bayou City Arts Festival. She continues to donate art to benefits and art events such as the American Red Cross, Houston Symphony, MS Lone Star Division, Lukemia and Lyphoma Foundation and dozens more. Recognized for her achievements by both City of Houston and City of Bellaire, she continues to assist in helping others.
